I love keto diet green beans and I’m sure I’m not the only one. That’s why I’ve decided to share some of my favorite Keto diets green beans recipes to my fellow green beans lovers out there.

1. Keto green beans

When talking about a perfect keto side dish, keto green beans are great. I mean veggies prepared in butter always come out as the winner, in so many ways. They have this outstanding taste that you’ll love, coupled with those fat macros. With all that, green beans are perhaps the best vegetables you can eat on keto. Starting at nearly 4g net carbs per 100g, they work amazingly well. Whether you’re a meat-eater that makes a killer side dish or you’re a vegetarian that prefers having them as a snack or as part of the main course; It doesn’t matter the possibilities are endless.

I love pairing green beans with vegetable salad. It doesn’t matter whether I’m having some keto pork ribs or my mouth-watering cumin lamb, it goes well with all of them.

Ingredients 

  • 150 grams of Green Beans
  • 10 grams of garlic
  • 30 grams of Parmesan cheese
  • 45 grams Salted Butter (This is what I used}
  • 50 ml of Chicken stock For the final dish & Salt & Pepper

Prep Time: 10 minsCook Time: 5 mins.

Directions

  1. Cook the green beans till delicate with still a little snap to them. You can choose to boil in salted water or chicken stock for 4-5 mins or microwave using a splash of water and salt for about 3-4 mins.
  2. Now heat the butter on a pan with medium heat. When the butter starts melting, add garlic and mix well and let the flavor mix up.
  3. Once you notice the butter has melted, and the garlic starts turning brown, put in the beans. When the garlic is finally brown, add in the chicken stock.
  4. Once the stock reduces by half, add in half of the parmesan cheese, ensure you mix well. When the sauce thickens up, turn off the heat.
  5. Lastly, garnish with the remaining parmesan and enjoy it with your favorite keto meal.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound of fresh green beans, stems removed
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Get a large bowl and fill it with water and ice. Reserve it for blanching the green beans.
  2. In the large pot, boil the water to a rolling boil.
  3. Then, put in your beans and steam for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Now drain the green beans and add the ice water to them until it cools off.
  5. Next, wait for your green beans to cool. In the meantime, start melting butter in a pan on medium heat. Add your olive oil and garlic.
  6. After that, drain the green beans as best as you can and lay them on paper towels.
  7. When the garlic starts sizzling, put the green beans in the pan, and throw them to cover in the oil.
  8. Lastly, use salt and pepper for seasoning to get a great taste and remove from heat. Add the parmesan and enjoy with your favorite main course.

Ingredients

  • Fresh green beans (trim the beans)
  • Fine sea salt
  • Garlic cloves
  • Avocado oil or olive oil
  • Onion salt (it’s not a must to add it but it brings so much flavor)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Other ingredients to consider

  • Lemon wedges
  • Toasted pecans
  • Toasted almonds

Directions

  1. Heat the pan: Pour the oil in a large skillet using medium-high heat until it shimmers. Put the trimmed beans and stir while cooking. When the beans are bright, glossy, and slightly brown, you stop stirring.
  2. Season Beans:  Add garlic and use black pepper and salt to season. You can also add the other seasonings mentioned above. Now cook and stir constantly, until the garlic is fragrant about 30 seconds.
  3. Steam: Add water to it and cover it with a lid. Cook for another 1-2 mins until the beans are bright green and crisp-tender.
  4.  Serve: After the whole cooking, you can serve it with toasted nuts and lemon, whenever wanted.

Well, it’ll be hard to overeat lettuce, zucchini, cabbage, spinach, asparagus, cucumbers, and kale on a keto diet. They are all keto vegetables. I recommend you be extra careful when consuming slightly higher-carb vegetables like brussels sprouts, bell peppers (especially the red and yellow ones), and green beans should stay below 20 grams of carbs a day.
